The CTWUG rules have been updated to reflect the rules that was voted in at the November GM 2016.
###Existing Backbone links (as at 1 January 2017)
3.4.1.1. The sum of a link’s upstream and downstream throughput must exceed 30 Mbps when a UDP bandwidth test is run in both directions simultaneously.
3.4.1.2. Must maintain a 95th percentile CCQ of 60% or higher in both directions.
###New Backbone links (from 1 January 2017)
3.4.2.1. RB’s should have a minimum of a 600mhz CPU - This is to keep up with our fast growing OSPF table.
3.4.2.2. Routerboards that can take multiple PCI cards such as Rb433ah/gl are only allowed a single OSPF link.
3.4.2.3. an OSPF link should do a minimum of 60mbps combined throughput (30mbps down/30mbps up) and have a average CCQ of 80% or more.
3.4.2.4. SXT’s, sextants or Nanobeams are not allowed to run with a TX power higher than 17 due to the wide beam width.
3.4.2.5. OSPF links should be Dual Polarity complaint.
3.4.2.6. During gaming time, a link may not have an average ping higher than 5ms when a Test is done for 30 seconds to the router it is connecting to. It should not have any latency spikes of 15ms or more.
Admins please help us make sure that these rules are followed, all new backbones links not complying to the rules will be disabled.
