We have two candidates that have been nominated and I attach motivations from them below:

#@dizzle

Good day

My name is David also know as Dizzle to the CTWUG community. I have join CTWUG around November 2011.

My day job is being a Network Specialist, which is mostly network architecture design, implementation and from time to time 3rd Level Support. I am currently a Cisco Certified Network Professional and also hold a Cisco Certified Design Associate qualification. I am moving my focus more to security. I have been in the IT industry for around 9 years. I run and manage my own public servers mainly Linux machines doing public DNS, mails and website hosting. I also have a PRINCE2 certification, however the new focus is now Agile and Scrum.

I am very familiar and clued up with the CTWUG network and I am currently a Network Admin of the community. I mainly assist in the Delft and Belhar areas. I also assist with any network issues that arise and must be fixed. I try to mentor community members in order for them to troubleshoot and configure their routers.

With my knowledge and experience I believe a can add value, assist CTWUG to continue living up to its name and help it prosper.

Kind regards
Dizzle

#@Coms

Hi my name is George better known as Coms , my wug storie started in about 2007/2008
when i moved to kraaifontein and got intrested in the wug after A bit of research.
My first connection was to BUZZ and that then moved to acidice up till today where I have a highsite
up and clients connecting to me as well as hosting a wug service

As far as VC i think that I can best help the committee in day to day tasks as well as assist the chair and committee members in his duties
when he/they are unable to do so or he/they just does not have enough time. I work for myself and thus i am flexible if
a site visit is required for example.

Thank you for the opportunity (if given) to serve the members of CTWUG.

Regsitration for absentee vote opens tonight and closes 20h00 30th May 2018. Please PM on forum with why you can’t make the meeting. Remember we need a quorum of 50 wuggers to make the election official on Saturday.

OK, registration for absentee vote is closed. I will open voting at 21h00 and keep it open till Friday evening.

Voting is open for absentee voters. Please vote by Friday evening, but would be handy if you voted earlier.
@Election2018VC

How to vote:

  1. Go to https://election.ctwug.za.net/
  2. Click on "CTWUG Election 2018 - Vice Chair"
  3. Click on Vote in this election which will take you to:
  4. Then Start which will bring up voting:
  5. Pick one and Proceed
  6. Check vote on next screen and click Submit this Vote!
  7. You will be presented with a final screen and Cast this Ballot

Only after the last step will your vote be counted.

Let me know if you have issues.

All absentee voters have voted. I have closed the absentee vote.

There was not enough Wuggers at the meeting to have a quorum.

We had a discussion between the two and we came to the following agreement:

@Coms will not stand as Vice Chair and this means @Dizzle becomes Vice Chair. We will accept @Coms as secretary to the committee (but he has no vote in committee decisions). This will last until the next GM when the whole committee can be re-elected.

Please join me in congratulating both @Coms and @Dizzle in joining the @Committee.
