Disabled OSPF between raptor and roukie

I’ve disabled OSPF on this link. There seems to be issues on the (ubnt?) devices between these to rbs. Please fix.
Ping accross this link indicative of problems. Couldn’t log in to devices in between.
@raptor09?

I’ve disabled ospf on the interface ether3 on 172.18.167.226.

Someone re-enabled this OSPF.

I’ve disabled it again. Please post here to show how you’ve fixed the link before enabling ospf on that link again. That link is definitely not up to WUG standards. (see below).

I will disable links to this RB if people continue to reenable this OSPF.

I’ve left a comment with a link to this post on the ospf interface.

Yes please see the following:

and…

Very Erratic link

If you log in to the rb you cannot even properly ping the next hop as per the first post.

The problem is on Raptor’s side… the the RB493 is somewhat iffy of
late… just awaiting reply from Raptor as to when it can be replaced with
an RB750. Everything checks out regarding hardware on Roukie’s side.

Please see bandwidth test from Roukie to Raptor.

The 493 was swapped out with an RB750

Cool man reactivate ospf then. You can remove the comment also.

Thanks @Spin… much appreciated:slight_smile:

This link is also flapping again. Roukie also has pptp interfaces on an OSPF rb which are also not lekker. This is not allowed. Disabled the Inet interface and disabled ospf to raptor, again.

This is one of the strangest problems I’ve come across. It only starts
going bananas after I load scripts. Anyways… We will replace the RB yet
again but I will need to enable OSPF on both Cyclone and Roukie to run
tests. I will post results of the the Ubi so that you can see its not the
dishes that’s causing the problems.

I further would like to run the RB without scripts for a period of 48 hours
if that ok? Both RB’s on either side have Scripts enabled so it should
effectively block traffic to the Raptor RB.

Thoughts on this?

OSPF has nothing to do with scripts. There is probably some connection or config issue. You do not need to run it 48h to see if it is working. It starts flapping very quickly.

In the meantime I would like to get this link back up between Cyclone and
Raptor

Wrong topic… please delete

I may not have explained sufficiently… apologies for that. We have
pinpointed the problem so its all good though… Thanks for the time and
effort you put into this @Spin. I will post results once these issues have
been resolved

@Spin… Please see attached as proof that link has been sorted…

Is the PPTP on the RB also removed?

Yes it has… It was the first thing I did thus the reason for posting
