How did you set this up technically? I’ve set up a caching bind9 server on my ubuntu pc. It forwards requests to for ctwug.za.net to 172.18.1.1 and anything else to my isp’s dns/google dns/open dns. It then caches so repeat requests don’t get forward on. I think the wug dns ttl is very low though so not sure how efficient caching is?
I’m happy to make it available to the wug. In fact it is already (but not tested).

Hi Spin. It uses a technique called anycasting. The 172.18.1.1 address is actually mirrored in about 5 places on the WUG, and I’d love to add one in the CBD. Pls PM me your WiND node name and I’ll check what’s involved for you.
