Hi all, thank you for the awesome forum.
I am unfortunately not in an area with WUG coverage, but I do have a general WiFi query… maybe you can help.
Recently purchased a SXT Lite 2 (2ghz) for my home connection
It works reasonably well, but I think some advice is needed to fine-tune it.
Set up:
I am connected to a Wireless connection across the road, through WiFibre, they are based in The Beaumont flats and I am in Marlborough Park, across the road 4th floor - so “decent ish” LOS
I am however not able to get my signal around the magic -60dBi levels… it’s always hoevering around 70-80
Is there a way for me to optimise the output / tweak it for better results, as I suspect the hardware is trying to achive distance rather than the 200 odd metres I need to cover…
Advise please
Are both chains enabled?
From my limited understanding yes,
I can take some screenshots tonight to ensure I am not confused, but I recall such a setting being enabled
I basically set up the device out the box as a station-wds (CPE) connecting to the strongest of the AP’s possible - also the most stable.
I do know that there are a LOT of 2.4 noise in the area
Disabled Chain-1 and getting better stable throughput…
Output power and antenna gain settings up / down will help even more, or am I mistaken ?
Ask for support in support not in tech discussion.
Would you look at that, nice feature - tx
