Hi the wiki only supports png, gif, jpg, jpeg, pdf you will have to upload it to the cloud but then the user will need to have inet to download it or add it to hfs and just add the url on the page or add it on a local ftp server
@TheClown HFS is 'n home file server system wat locally kan hardloop…maklik om een te maak, jy kan gebruik maak van Xamp of wamp ook…maar onthou net om port te maak na 8080 en nie 80 nie as jy besluit om te HFS
In that same secttion i see that file size limits can be set too. Not sure if it can be done by file type but if not this would need to be increased too.
My 3 minute howto is 5.5mb so a 10mb restriction should be fine.
Just remember if you load up a video to wiki, just be sure that wiki’s database (if sql) can handle more than 5mb, usually with the new wamp ect database SQL can set to handle more than the 2mb in previous versions.
Our VPS don’t exactly have the largest storage spaces. Also our wiki does get spam, and I hate to think what they would do with video uploads.
Can I suggest that you consider hosting your video on YouTube (especially if it’s related to joining the wug). If you need to make it available on the wug can I suggest that you consider running a wugtube type setup and host it there.
@Jypels did it at some point and he may be willing to share some tips and ideas? His site was essentially a open source clone of youtube. That would be a great service to run and to use that for hosting videos.
