Silver (from JAWUG) and myself set up some links between JAWUG and CTWUG. We also replicated the dns of each network. So we should be able to browse jawug sites and they should be able to browse ours.
There are some firewalls in place to limit things to http type traffic. Please do not try to cheat this as we are working of fellow wugger internet connections. Please advise if you think a particular type of traffic would be good to have flow over the links.
I’ve set these up at the same points where gravity tunnels are so thanks: jypels/capeflyer/hyperlink/dan
They don’t seem to have much in the way of games. May need to get them join ours. They play 2moons, but mainly on the internet at the moment. Apparently it’s moving to their jawug again at some point.
At the moment most ports are closed so I think only 2moons will work. I.e. http based. Even then their 2moons is on the internet in any case…
Moons URL: http://moons.wolfen.za.net/2moons/game.php
Others:
Minecraft server 1.7.9: 172.16.101.72:25565
CSS server: 172.16.101.72:27015 (not sure about the client).
Reading that page, I browsed to the “Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP) for the JAWUG Network”
Right at the bottom it states “Running Mikrotik’s ‘The Dude’ software is not permitted on the JAWUG network”
If someone on the CTWUG network runs THE DUDE and doesnt know what he is doing… will this jump over and scan the JAWUG network aswell ?
2.6.1. Network scans of any kind are forbidden unless all owners of affected equipment have given prior approval. This includes use of TheDude, port scans, security scans, password and/or brute force scans. Ping sweeps across IP ranges are acceptable if limited to <64 byte ICMP messages, and does not amount to a Denial of Service.
