Anyone got news about when the Kingpin upgrade is happening?
The upgrade is on halt until there is transportation for the mast… currently my only vehicle capable is in joburg and will only be back when the job there is finished.

Update:
Mast is being delivered to Kingpin today.
My plan is to get the new equipment at the end of this month, so we should be able to do the Kingpin install early December.
I recommend getting the following kit if you want to take advantage of the dual polarity sectors:

phoenix has been taken down, so we would like the old phoenix bb link from kingpin moved to connect to cyberspider and then cyberspider turned into a transit node as well if possible
Just a heads-up to the site admin. The skouperd link is doing poor, only managing to stay up for about 15 minutes at a time. CCQ and signals look good so I would chalk this down to a bad channel.
Who mananged Pheonix, because according to WIND it is still UP?
CTWUG will fund Kingpin’s side, but we cannot fund private nodes. Also will all the current Phoenix clients be able to connect to Cyberspider?
Phoenix moved to somerset west and took his ap with him to wug there. TheFox has been helping co-ordinate. i have already got the equipment from scoop to setup on cyberspider to link to kingpin. all the old phoenix folks have los to cyberspider and we will sort out the other detail between us.
so all we need is a slot on kingpin and a little help with ips and routing and we are good to go.
daysleeper will keep that spot for cyberspider.
We will most likely get a 25dBi dish, shield and a RB912G outdoor. Please try and match that.

we have a 5ghz 25dbi dual parabolic dish => dual n-type males => dual n-type males to mmcx => R52HN => Routerboard 433L
is this okay or should i rather swop it for a 912?
Do you plan on installing only one radio in the RB433L ? We prefer that each link has its own routerboard, that is why we suggest the RB912G.

there is only one radio on rb433l, i don’t think you can stably run a second card with an Hn cause the board only allows 14 watts for all the mpci interfaces and the Hn uses about 7 on its own.
so are we cool?
