Mars cleanup phase 1

hi everyone

This is just to give you guys and idea of what mars phase 1 consist of.

The Mars cleanup will start this coming Saturday 7/12.
I have made a list of a few things that needs to be done.

  1. Some new cables needs to be installed
  2. Splitting the BB rb’s into separate cases
  3. Installing new stays

Thats just to name a few :slight_smile:

So for those of you that are willing to help, you are more then welcome to reply here, contact me or just be in the parking lot at Mars by 10.

Mars is roughly 10 stories high so if you are afraid of heights, rather stay away. :bounce:

Hi all

Just a friendly reminder that i’ll be doing some maintenance on Mars tomorrow and you can expect some down time.
Its going to be a nice day but the wind may spoil it.

Hi all

Just an update on the Mars cleanup, it went very well. Turned out to be a great day, with the 5 people that come to help me we probably finished about 70% of the cleanup.

So i would like to thank Queengamer, Sneaki, Corrie, Darkness(currently not connected) and Nissan(that ditch work) that came through to help me.

I will update with some pics and a list of the stuff that was done soon.

Thanks Cosmo for going with me earlier to do some alignment on Mars.

With all the links aligned as good as we could get it, another 10% of the work is done.

Great Job on getting it done! Next time i will be there to help if someone can give me a lift :stuck_out_tongue: BTW hurry up on those pics or it didn’t happen.

We removed most of the loose rust on the mask and sprayed it with hammerite.
Moved all the 30dbi dishes to the top, after the alignment it improved the links a lot.
Installed one of the aluminum boxes, the other 1 will be installed soon and the rusty old white box will finally be buried. :hail:

So in conclusion i still need to install new stays, 1 alu box and new lan cable. Phase 1 will then be complete.
