As you heard by now and its true our Highsite, MLB has fallen due to strong winds this morning round about 2am.
I must thank Chanky, ToyBoy, ASoldier, Vizard and Stevie for assisting me to get the mas from my neighbours roof that time of the morning, really guys thanx.
The damage to my neighbours roof is phenomenal due to the impact but I went for quotes today and trying to come up with funds to repair this.
Valley Area wuggers I urge you all to support me in this.
Hopefully once the roof has been repaired we can sit down and plan the next step ahead.
About 80% of our equipment is totally damage, some beyond repairing which include 2 x 30dbi dishes, 2 x 24dbi dishes, 1 x rb433, a couple of lmr cables & the 120 degree dual sector.
At our next Valley Area meeting our main discussion will be to get MLB running again.
I’ll give you 2 x 24dBi Grids and 2 x 31 dBi Grids (Compliments of YawningAngel) to help get your HS back up and running. It’s not dishes but you can still do a dual polarity setup with them if needs be.
Just let me know if you want it and if you’ll be at the GM on Sat.
I know I said Ill donate a R100 towards D-Day but have changed my mind and made a donation towards the valley, I know its not much but I,m willing to help out in others ways to if needs be. Welding, being a handlanger whatever it takes let me know.
Hey Polly Im sure someone in your area should be able to pickup JacksBeans. I dont have any spare equipment But I Can offer a Temp link to the area to keep things going. Also might be able to lend a hand with the repairs to the roof I know a few companies and a good roofing guy that will do the job for minimal amounts he did our house. His an old Family friend let me know and I’ll bring him to look and quote for the damage
PollyG it was a pleasure helping was not easy getting the site from the roof in the bad weather condition and the timing was bad but we manage and we pulled through, MLB wil be up and running soon, Tell OOM Hen we wil sort the roof out for sure, wuggers thnx for the great support towards MLB it means alot to us.
I really do appreciate the support Valley Area is getting from my fellow wuggers, King & Uys I am willing to take what we can get.

Before throwing the dishes away maybe talk to capetownfly ( i think ). I gave him a severely damaged dish from prom due to impact damage and surprisingly fixed it like new.

As we are sadden by the falling of an Icon, we will not be mourning this loss . . . for the restoration to her former glory stares us in the face . . . We will not see this task as the resurrection of MLB . . . for she has not passed on . . . but merely struck down . . . View this as a temporary setback . . .for MLB lives within us . . . We, . . . its members and all those who support us, made MLB into the community that it has grown into today . . . and we will continue in this spirit . . . to build a new icon . . . and she will once again stand tall . . . and carry the silent envy of her rivals . . . as she blasts our throughput to the rest of the network . . . . We will face this challenge with even more courage than before . . . and welcome all that supports us in this journey of restoration . . .
MLB has became a beacon of light to its members over time and has stood out among some the most prominent of High Sites on the CTWUG Network . . . and will be doing so once again . . . MLB members and the members within the Valley area thanks all who have supported the cause of our Icon’s restoration . . . We salute you . . .
