If u are new to the wug and want to connect in KFN pls don’t be taken for a ride by admins that want loads of money to connect u and give u second hand equipment.
I will be getting equipment in the next few weeks to connect client and will be charging u nothing!! All u will need to pay is the equipment on your side and this should not cost more than R1500.
I will even help u setup and get connected.
I know there are admins that feel the same way so pls just contact me and i will help u even if it is to connect to another admin.
Ons moet n’ punt bereik waar die main area admins(first contacts nie altyd dieselfde persoon nie) moet weet van alle kliente wat in hul area connect word. Dan kan hulle seker maak sulke ongeruimhede vind nie plaas nie. Ek het nie n’ probleem om tweede handse “kit” aan iemand te verkoop nie solank die prys nie verregaande is nie. Ek sal ten minste die nuwe klient inlig van hoeveel die nuwe kit gaan wees en dat hy ook sy jaar waarborg prysgee as hy dit by koop.Ek myself was nog nooit n vooraanstander van n konneksie fooi nie. As ek na iemand se huis ry en dir setup vir hom doen dan is ek seker geregtig op n fooi(iets wat ek nooit sal doen nie, maar nie n’ probleem meer het nie).
Another point to be made is that CTwug looses their rebate when clients buy second hand good from wuggers. So actually its better advice clients to buy new kit because the rebate we receive from suppliers is important and helps keeps the CTwug afloat. Beetle001 can’t we just add it into the wiki that wannabe wuggers should now that there should be no connection fee to Highsite’s?
Maybe a good spot to put some comment with regard to charges would be when you register your node. At least nobody can get on without first registering, so this step is a “Must do”
