Firstly I’d like to thank the committee for granting me the opportunity to fulfill the election officer duties.

I think we need to talk about this and split it into a couple of roles.
For this we need a constitution change and we don’t have time for it.
One role for the whole lot is too much for 1 person.
I totally agree it is a lot of work for one person, that is if one person takes on all the work himself. Hypothetically lets say you get voted in as technical officer
you will be in charge of two branches of ctwug the network administrators and system administrators. Now its up to you to decide if you want help or not, what i’m trying to say is you’ll be part of a team and the workload could be shared so that it doesn’t become a one man job.
On the post regarding splitting the roles. The technical officer is just the lead/manager of all the technical duties on the WUG. It is up to him if he wants to get other wuggers to help him out, be it with the server or networking administration side of things.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t the constitution only have to change if you are amending actual office bearers. Surely nothing stops the tech officer from assigning non-office bearing assistants. They can get a title but obviously have no say in committee affairs.
In fact, I ensured it makes specific consideration for thisL
5.3. The Committee may co-opt other members as deemed necessary to fulfil the purpose of the Group. These members will not be eligible to vote in committee decisions and votes.
