I have been told via via other parties that some people have been getting screens like this:
I have not been able to investigate any of this directly. So I haven’t been able to confirm exactly the configs or who actually received these errors.
I have however removed OpenDNS as a public DNS listing on our DNS servers. Even if I haven’t been able to replicate the error while using OpenDNS. I had OpenDNS as a backup to Google Public DNS but I don’t really think we need a backup.
If you continue to receive this error please do the following:
Please do nslookup www.site.com replacing www.site.com with whatever site gave you the error.
Also download and run wugcheck.bat.
Once you’ve done that post a thread under our support category. attaching the output from the script.
If nobody directly contacts me with this issue I cannot fix or investigate it. So please contact me if you have this issue. The above screenshot was forwarded to me but I don’t even know who it was. My suspicion is that people are using a filtered version of OpenDNS even though they are not realising it.
