A few weeks ago we were notified by David (Firestarter) that WESA is moving , and the family is no longer willing to host the site. Reasons unknown.
A while later I saw communication between @Firestarter and @JellyBean indicating that David would be removing the kit from the mast, and brought to me for safekeeping untill we can make alternative arrangements.
A week or so the site went down, and messages appeared on the watsapp group that someone had removed the omni and powerbeam link to MARS.
I have since been trying to get hold of Jellybean and David but everyone has gone silent, and no-one seems to know where the equipment is.
Some area members are in contact with David, as he supplies internet to people in the area, but , according to the people who contacted him, he sais he knows nothing. We have spoken to the person who’s flat is used for access, and she confirmed that David was indeed there, and removed unspecified equipment.
So 2 weeks later the equipment is “missing” and no-one is able or willing to give any further information.
I ask the @Committee for assistance and guidance in this regard.
If anyone knows what is going on, or where the equipment is, PLEASE Pm me so we can go ahead with plans to re-establish the area’s links.
For the record - I was on the team who erected that site, and at that time David DONATED the bracket and stay wires to the WUG, but if he is claiming it back now then we will simply get replacements (IF the equipment ever shows up.)
The manner in which thing have gone down has left all of us very frustrated and pretty unhappy.
