Hi
I don’t have much experience with Ubiquiti’s Picostation devices, so I thought I’d ask here.
I am well aware that they are old.
What sort of throughput can be expected from one of them? I have a colleague who is using one at home, connected to his Internet router. I know he should not expect the full 100Mbps from that device, but he complains that he is getting only 20Mbps?
Does that sound about right?
Actually if its the M2 Pico that has wireless N you can get up to 150mb/s depending on his internet line.
Also depends on where its mounted in the house the Pico has a tiny little antenna and it does not really penetrate walls that well.
So he could possible upgrade the antenna to a large one nothing over kill as the pico is a low power device. (give him one of those old netgear antennas they work well.
