Possible Highsite?

Good day

I have a friend that lives in and owns a flat on the 10th floor of the Antoon Bening flat complex next to Sanlam Head office.

I know there is currently a site there named Dragons which I connect through. With Diabolix moving and taking down links, Dragons has been routed through Highvoltage. The Highvoltage -> Gerty connection is however more off than on which cuts off all other connections going through Highvoltage.

My friend on the 10th floor has asked me before about getting connected to the wug.

Can someone give and estimate of price and power consumption for a kit that would be useful for the entire area and not just to get him connected. This could then also serve as a long term highsite as he bought the place recently and is not planning on moving soon.

Sabishii are those images from your place? My place is nearly visible from 3.jpg, just seems like there’s one tree in the way. Gerty is getting hold of xraycat, we should know soon what’s going on there.

This is from my friend’s flat on the 10th floor of Antoon Bening.

I live in the small flat on the bottom of picture 2 where the bakkie is. Connect backwards to Dragons and then over my head again to the rest of the wug.

PS: is it on Wind yet? just want to see what wind thinks of that location / height compared to other sites

It is not on wind no. I can give you the tape measure to scale the outside to the 10th floor. :stuck_out_tongue:

I can add a temporary spot on wind for him and estimate it at about 35-40 meters high. The only thing is that there is little to no chance of connecting to the Bellville South side. There are stairs on that side of the building in front of his flat.

If we can get the body corp to let us on to the roof there might be a lot more options.

Is there any chance of getting higher res photos at a clearer time of day / in regards to the weather? I’m looking for a nice clear picture in the direction of Bellville North if theres any chance of that. Thanks.

He has said he will take some better pictures and upload them.

Took these on burst mode with my phone. Probably why they are blurry. Just wanted to get my phone back inside and not drop it from the 10th floor. :faint:
