The body corporate at Prometheus have turned off the power to the site and are demanding monthly payment for each of the links that are installed.
As a result Mercury, Sirius, Prometheus, RST, MDT and all connected Clients are offline until further notice.
I’ve asked the @Committee how they would like to proceed. I suspect that this site will end up being decommissioned in due course so we should consider alternate backbones in the interim.
We have tried everything in conjunction with the ISP that has kit on the site to try and keep the kit up there. Unfortunately the Body Corp did not budge and we are now forced to remove the kit from the site.
The decommissioning of the kit will take place tomorrow 29th August 2019.
We are looking for alternate sites to try and keep as many connections active as possible, the new committee will need to decide on where the CTWUG equipment will be used.
I have spoken to the other admins. It was agreed that its fine for Prometheus clients to connect to Mercury as there are a number of open slots. We will however keep around 4 slots for Mercury clients as most of them seem to be offline for reasons unknown.
