I need some assitance with a point to point link that i installed at Saxenburg Park 1.
The link where already setup by the supplier i just installed them, my wireless knowledge is extremely limited and i cannot get a stable throughput rate.
Can anyone recommend someone i can call to help me fine tune the links? it was for a business so willing to pay for the time.
The basics are as follows:
-4 SXT lite units in bridge mode, so two of them are on one pole as there is no line of sight.
its transmitting one IP PTZ camera back to a recorder
total distance cannot be more than 2km
-signal strength is between -56 and -63
CCQ is not good and not stable at all
Hope thats enough information for someone to point me in the right direction.
on our own network we don’t recommend a sxt for a connection above 1Km , have had way to many problems trying that.
I would recommend you replace the sxt whit a LHG5.
that is the thing ON OUR NETWORK nothing to do with his setup 2km is still ok i have seen links longer working perfectly fine with sxt’s it probably needs proper tuning like frequency, protocol, data rates and so on
@razor1 is my suggestion at all unfounded is a LHG5 not better than a sxt in every possible way. Is anything I said untrue ? It was just a suggestion @Hello can use it or not.
