Seems like the core router is dead, I will be going to site next weekend to see what is acting up.
I have also been in talks with the committee to replace the current core (RB2011) and Toughswitch with a Edgepoint with rebates.
hey spin, i am on bellville sector, and yes everything came to a halt at roughly 20 to, but there was serious throughput degradation from about half passed, and packet loss 5 minutes later.
maybe this info can help point the diag guys in the right direction faster.

Titan is up and running again.
The link to EU is doing some funky things signal wise, but will see if we can sort it out.
So it looks like one of the sides might be faulty with the link between Europa and Titan, the clients might have noticed a heavy decrease in speeds since the site has been back up.
Before we continue with projects to replace the kit, we (mostly the committee) needs to sort out some ādifficultiesā with the body corporate. Will revert once I have feedback on that issue.
Titan is currently down, we are looking into it.
Confirmed power issue at Titan, site visit is scheduled for tomorrow to see if we can bring it back up. Will keep updating this thread.
Edit: POE is faulty, we will be taking it back to Scoop for replacement as the unit is still under warranty.

Just to keep everyone in the loop, I will be posting all the feedback I have on this thread.
I returned the faulty POE to Scoop today, now just to wait for the replacement.
Hopefully before the weekend.

Just a small update.
We got the new PSU so Titan will hopefully be up tonight or by tomorrow evening.

No problem sorry I just did not see the post. I have some spare POE connectors lying aroundā¦ So next time let me know I can maybe help out with thatā¦ We replace them with tough switches.
Its not a standard poe, Titan uses a 6 port Edgepoint. so psu needed is a 2.5a 24v PSU.
New Psu will be installed tommorow morning.

New PSU has been installed, but we are still dead in the water. @Niemies will investigate when he goes back to site.

Hi Guys, i just want to know how ur connection is with Titan since its back up running? Mine seems to be slower and not 100 as use to be.
Any suggestions as to what i should do in my side?

how does your link stats look like signal and ccq maybe post that and do a traceroute to see how the pings look like it could be anything

Currently there is a faulty dish at either Europa or Titan, so we are in the process of replacing equipment on both ends (bad batch of dishes). We are planning to replace the kit with 2 X 27dBi powerbeams which works out to R5073 inc vat.
We have already received R2200 towards funding it, but more donations will most likely cause the kit to be replaced a lot sooner.
We also had some issues with the trustees which contributed to the delay in acquiring the equipment, but the trustees has since agreed that we can swop out the faulty dish.

@Diabolix, thx for the update. I will love to make an donation as well. I just noticed that after Titan went online again all downloads was real slow and gave error.
