Some pictures of the maintenance we did at Callisto a week ago.
Our job consisted of the following:
Remounting all bent brackets/poles
Relaying damaged Ethernet cable
Aligning kit
Doing some tidy up work in the enclosure
Still a lot of work left, but will post any updates here.
Take note, we are working here with oldish kit. As you can see, the one dish was even mounted up side down, so now the LMR’s are all wrong (It also was damaged previously).
Maybe if DDAY goes well all these issues can be fixed, properly
Ek sien daai 2 grids is dieselfde gepolarize. Een (dink die onderste een) wys na my toe. Dis baie maklik vir my om by my kit uit te kom so laat weet as julle jom 90 degs wil swaai.
If you guys want to be kept in the loop of whats going on or have any ideas, please join us in the Bellville IRC channel otherwise you will be left in the dark.
Wacko141 is the new administrator of Callisto. He is very active in the Bellville IRC channel so best place to be to find out what is going on and future plans would be to be in that channel.
Also worth mentioning is the guys in the Bellville IRC channel do not just deal with Bellville nodes There is alot of knowledge as well as some good banter in that channel. I mean we recently helped a user in Plattekloof connect…
So come join us…
There is only one rule…
Everything is Diabolix’s fault and he should be blamed for anything that happens
EDIT: Fixed my horrible spelling mistakes… Dammit Diabolix!
