Have you tried rebooting the rb on callisto’s side yet? Oyeah and why do you only tell us know that there is a problem ![]()
Im seeing a major trend here lol. All the links that has a Groove as a RB is having problems after problems at callisto. The rest are all fine
I also noticed something on the RB Callisto-side linking to me. Link’s up, but also no traffic. Looking at a traceroute from the Groove on Callisto to a neighbour:

Is this potentially an OSPF issue at the core?
Mmmh thats looks very weird… I didn’t do the OSPF on the core. Will chat to the guys now and see whats going on there…
Although aren’t you tracing to aquarat’s RB? That rb isnt on Twosix. He is just using the RB to relay traffic between his home and office
OK, maybe I should give the full picture:
All routes literally run from the RB via wlan, none via ether, even to rb1.goose,ctwug.za.net which is right next door. Something that bugs me (an OSPF-noob), the router ID in OSPF, should that be the ID?
Ah, OK
/me bows out
not sure if I’m speaking out of turn, but I really don’t know what’s going on… i have been disconnected for +5 weeks now, and need my fix! lol
there is no rush, i just don’t know if there is something I need to do from my end? have IP’s been changed etc?
I connect to madwand, if that helps at all, i guess i’m just asking if I must just wait, or is there a problem on my side that i need to deal with first?
Xevious, you should be back up and running via Madwand - Pandora
Madwand doesnt connect via Callisto anymore. Link has been moved to Pandora. Madwand would have given you your IP range allready
Thanks. He sent me the new IPs now so will try configure it tomorrow.
Whoever did what on Callisto, much appreciated, my link is now active for almost 24 hours:
rx-packets-per-second: 4 356
rx-drops-per-second: 0
rx-errors-per-second: 0
rx-bits-per-second: 35.9Mbps
tx-packets-per-second: 2 348
tx-drops-per-second: 0
tx-errors-per-second: 0
tx-bits-per-second: 12.9Mbps
Hi,
Just a quick folow-up. I’ve been away for a few days and have now confirmed that all the normal functions are back to normal. I found one small anomaly about an old IP address still pushing through somehow (but it does not seem to effect performance). I’ll IM Jypels for advice a bit later.
Thanks so much to Jypels and Madwand for sorting out our link to the WUG. We now connect via Pandora and not “directly” from Callisto anymore.
Cheers to all involved!
