I third @dizzle.
I am not going to stand as Technical Officer. I have been at this for some time and it really is time for some new blood. I have really enjoyed this and learnt a lot. The only alternative was for me to stay on as TO and @dizzle taking another committee role but I think his heart and passion lies for TO and I don’t want to kill that.
I believe @dizzle is fully capable to get into this role. He has the enthusiasm, energy and tons of skills. Also does some of this stuff for work, and doesn’t pretend like I do 
I’m very committed to making sure CTWUG continues to improve technically and I will continue to work with @dizzle to support him in taking on this role with so much to learn. I see myself as supporting him and acting as a resource on specific projects.
I also think the CTWUG needs to think about it’s future and how it wishes to stay relevant in the era of expanding Fibre. I am happy to be part of planning and discussion in this regard.
People have suggested that I stand for another CTWUG position but I simply cannot. Tech Officer is something you can do in the midnight hours, but the other roles require much more daytime effort which I simply won’t have. My job is becoming more demanding and I barely have time for other interests as it is.
