Was not aware of the meeting, where do I check details for this? I am moving to a flat in Aurora on Saturday so we’ll have to see whether my girlfriend is going to chase me around with a unpacked kitchen knife if I mention such things - so if I don’t respond again, it didn’t go well
The dish I would like to put up will sit at me mom’s house (Vierlanden) - home owners I will be renting from didn’t seem to thrilled about the idea, so before I burn bridges and have to find residence on the street (along with the imminent kitchen knife threat mentioned above), it will have to do - albeit losing half the functionality.

Just make sure you push those plastic covers (That comes with the cable between the dish and antenna) to the max over the pigtail connection. They are awesome sealers 
having some fitting issues with the dome cover… won’t fit with RB there… doing it wrong i guess, will google

Dome cover? You mean cover the routerboard? Don’t put that on, it isn’t needed and wont fit with those LMR’s.
Make sure you don’t bend those black cables too much, they are very very sensitive.
geeeeeeez Hellbinder… a dish??? Most clients use an SXT or a Groove + Grid…
There is an unused grid+groove on Pot that I set up recently to provide extra bandwidth to Sonstraal… I’d suggest we get you set up with a link to that instead of to aquarat - does that sound good to you ?
Search for http://www.ctwug.za.net/pot11 . It’s on frequency 5190. Make sure your device is set to ireland/superchannel and that your scan list and frequency are both 5190.
Once you’ve connected, let me know and I’ll log in and tune things up + establish routing and IPs.

ta, in progress, wind making it difficult, also i see after taking down pole my tripod was cracked on the welds… gonna get a new one tomorrow morning and complete install, progressing slowly.
Has anybody got a better suggestion to mounting on the wall, the brackets seem to crack under stress once a year.

Haha, well done tj007, there’s only one problem: eskom’s load shedding has caused a UPS to fail at the high site. I’m going on monday to fix. You won’t see anything until around Monday 12:00.

That looks like a very very thin pipe for something like a dish? It’s very low so it should be okay.

ta, eks nou by die werk, maar ja… ek het so gesukkel, staywires sal op kom more of oor more, wind test maar vandag. My skoonpa was ook van die mening, maar ek het myself blou gesoek vir groter bracket wat my 35mm pyp kan vas maak, ek beplan om maar nog twee wall mounting te kry (as ek kan vind) en staywires op te sit, daarom het ek eers besluit op 2m af teen murr en 1m op vir veiligheid.
Any suggestions vir waar ek nog sulke brackets kan kry, ek was na elke liewe HDW winkel toe in die kaap, en niemand het iets vir n 35mm pyp gehad nie, net 25 en soos jy se, 35 is dalk klaar n klein bietjie te min, m aar een man job was nog klaar frustrating genoeg met paal vas hou en self vas maak
