Price of a decent Mast

Hi guys i’ve seen a lot of MAST being put up and I need to know what the price of a mast is?
something like German; Gekido and 18 Wheeler has.

Reason being is, myself, @GI-Joe and @KillSwItch started our own site, GiJoe is our admin and he is using a pole thats about 8m up in the air (roughly estimated). its a mission taking it off and putting it up all the time, so to take the safe route and for better tuning, we want to put up a mast and we need to know of people who can build decent mast, thats also cost efficient.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Also been wonder what it cost people to put their mast’s up…

I think alot of it is friends that can weld… Once you have a welder it’s basically just getting the pieces of steel.

That’s true, but it should also be a safe and stable mast, anybody can weld but can they guarantee stability and safety?

Obviously you want someone that can do a good job. Just saying i think thats the route most of the guys take…

You can get pre-built but it costs an arm and two legs!

If possible post the costing here, I think a lot of people are interested in masts.

Yip let someone build it or do it yourself it is cheaper and u can also use this > https://wiki.ctwug.za.net/wiki/Bou_jou_eie_MAS and get the prices for the steel the last time i got a quote for a 15m pre-built galvanized mast it was R20 000+ then it must still be installed and transported.

and if you want more of an idea to building a mast keep in mind where you going to put it where staywire wll be ect ect and my advice would be to go do a visit by the guys that has one and see all of mast are different from each other and check which would best suit you :wink:

I’d also suggest buying the relevant safety gear. It’s a small add-on to the cost but probably the best investment.
