Nah its on WIND so it MUST be there. Wind doesnt lie!

There is no equipment, it’s just 'n node.
My bad. I was referring to ATLAS. but it appears to be pretty full
I know little about these things. Why would one do that?
Atlas has two working redundant links Mde and pro99 and just over 35 people dependant on Atlas.
I am assuming you mean “its full” then.
Just a thought : Upgrading the PP highsite, could alleviate some of the load off ATLAS, Sneaki, and take on a few guys from MARS, if it falls.
Not full on the sector facing PP but it would be the best experience, majortom link to km should be fixed within a months time.
Did you get time to do the scan yet that I suggested?
Sorry no, we had guests all weekend, so I will try tonight.
I can scan if I can log into the Omni, correct?
Would it not be even better to put the Litebeam up there?, then we go Litebeam —> Litebeam
instead of Litebeam —> Sector
I am assuming there would be a considerable signal quality benefit?
Oops meant to say wouldn’t be the best experience
I’m not the network admin @darkwing is of that area but if I was this is what I would do.
I would move Trojan over to the sector as there is no more space for new equipment on that pole at atlas.
Then if los to pp is good enough I’ll make a link to PP and hope that PP can make a link to @PollyG MLB area. This will benefit both areas best I think.
Just my opinion.
click stop and then start
PROJECT UPDATE :
The Parow Park High site is back up and running - FOR NOW
With the kind help of David, the link has been restored using his personal equipment, as a temporary measure while we make plans to make the link permanent.
We need to ASAP make plans to make the link permanent. To do this, we need to buy a Powerbeam AC to replace the one we are connecting to.
Soon after that we MUST investigate additional options for a second, redundant link.
Options (although most have been shot down)
-Sneaki
-Atlas
-Fuzzy
Depending what is on the other side, we will have to either :
-Sell the existing new litebeam to another area to fund the powerbeam
-use the existing litebeam in the redundant link, which means buying a second one for the other side of the link.
Once I have feedback from the other members of the PP group, I will submit the finance application.
hope I get all the names right :
@DEADPOOL07
@joslo (apples)
@godzilla123
@TheStalker
@Badboy125
@Dozer
@KGB_KM
Lol not part of pp but ill support the cause but i alone cant carry the effort alone if every comes to the party then it could work.pp has plenty of room to grow
1000% agree. You have done your bit more than once. Thank you
Clarification :
- Sneaki - Possible LOS issues - still need to do a proper scan
- Atlas - Mast is full
- Fuzzy -indicated that we can connect there, good LOS, but still trying to hear why they are turning off OSPF before we commit.
Other possibilities still to be investigated.
Finance Project Application submitted as per the finance page instructions.
I hope the @Committee are monitoring ctwug_donations@googlegroups.com
the Donations are allready coming in, and POP’s sent to that address.
Hi @TheClown. I like the enthusiasm and the team work that is currently happening to get a project completed, however can i please ask that you allow the project process to progress to determine the outcome of your project. As with all other projects there is a process we follow. Please check this link for more detail.
As for the donations yes we have received them please dont worry about this. As your project has not yet been approved i will allocate your funds to a Parow Park area until the outcome of you projects is determined.
So far well done to you guys.
Hi @Gekido
No worries. I followed the link and im pretty sure i followed the process. Not done this before so if i missed a step please let me know.
Our project is time sensitive as the current temporary linkup is only available for a limited time.
Are you able to tell me how long project approvals usually take, or is it only decided at the next GM. Just so we can know what to expect, and not bug you guys all the time.
Regards
