Thank you kindly.
Hey guys, any ideas why titan went dark at 11:00 this morning. i dont see either sector when scanning.
I also dont have connection anymore along with 1 other.
Is it back online yet? @angryplum have you contacted @Niemies yet?
Thanks guys back online when I got home.
i have sent him 2 msgs, that was a week ago. only got back today. will keep you posted @Diabolix.
Hi guys. Is Titan still down?
Titan has been up for a week now. ccqs are still less than ideal. will report findings here as soon as ive heard from @Niemies for access and assistance .
Great thanks @angryplum. I have all the kit ready so that we can upgrade the mast and space out the equipment a bit more.
Hi angryplum. For years now, I’ve been connected to Titan from Vredekloof, Brackenfell. In fact, I was a major financial contributor to the last upgrade project. However, I have been unable to connect for more than month now. I hate to contradict your post, but it’s still down on the sector I’ve been using. Can you shed any light on the subject. Thanking you in anticipation.
hey @iBeast, i remember your donation, the admins asked donors to step and you crushed it, literally… with a stack pinks!. i have not been at titan since the problems started. but i know that the bellville sector is up and working.
let me give you a rundown of what happened.
about two weeks ago ar 03:00 my receiving ccq dropped to about 45-50. and four hours later, titan-bellville went down.
4 days later the sire was rebooted and the links went up again. but the ccq problem persisted.
it is the tx ccq of the sector that stays low, even when my signal was -48 to -51, and it gets worse when it rains. yet both hrcblade and my tx ccq remains 90+
see the [redacted] grabs below
so i can only deduce that it is some fault with the antenna or its pigtail…
i also added the access list, and your authentication is enabled.
Hi @angryplum, I had a look at @iBeast 's rb and he was previously connecting to SSID http://ctwug.za.net/Titan1. He can no longer see that sector. Have the sectors been moved slightly?
He can now see SSID http://ctwug.za.net/Titan4 with SS -64. Would it be possible for him to be moved to this rb?
Good morning angryplum. Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. This morning, rendered kindly logged into my RB and found I no longer see sector 1. However, it seems I can now see sector 4, so all is not lost. Thank you so much for the prompt response and and the great support — we wuggers truly appreciate the time and effort you and the other Admins put in for our benefit.
Hi @rendered. Thank you so much for checking my RB! Truly appreciated.
Scan for shadow los seems to be good on wind
i would just like to state: i am not an admin (all thanks and praise has been forwarded to the real heroesm our admins), just trying to help out. nothing has been moved to my (limited) knowledge on titan in a whilr, except for frequencies. depending on titan4’s client load, maybe @Diabolix could acc list you on that sector temporarily (all his details are on 18i210p252 for reference) so that you can try connect and see what your connect strenght, rate and ccq’s are.
Thanks @angryplum. Is there any other way of getting hold of him? I sent him an email last week but he still hasn’t responded.
@rendered we are trying to schedule a site visit with the owner to replace the mast and brackets as its heavily rusted. @angryplum is handling that for us. Hopefully he can have something back for us sooner than later.
Has someone tried to reboot the router via the edgepoint?
@Diabolix I just thought you could possibly move @iBeast to http://ctwug.za.net/Titan4 because he has been down for quite a while. From the looks of it http://ctwug.za.net/Titan1 is still up he just can’t see it anymore.
